Debuting on Broadway in 2003, Wicked, based on a novel by Gregory Maguire, retells the events of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz from the perspective of the Wicked Witch of the West, Elphaba. Now, over 20 years later, the musical has been adapted into two movies each based on a different act of the show: 2024's Wicked and 2025's Wicked: For Good.
