This article contains SPOILERS for Alien: Earth season 1, episode 7.Alien: Earth just changed a fundamental Xenomorph rule in the Alien franchise nearly half a century after they were originally introduced. While the Xenomorphs aren't the only monster in Alien: Earth — there are five new alien lifeforms, after all, they have commanded a lot of attention. They also feel very different from previous depictions of Xenomorphs, and there's a good reason for it.
