There's simply no denying that Patrick Stewart's portrayal of Star Trek's Captain Jean-Luc Picard is hands-down one of the most iconic character performances of all time. First appearing in Star Trek: The Next Generation in 1987, Picard was introduced as the captain of the USS Enterprise-D and quickly distinguished himself from James T. Kirk with his diplomatic leadership style and unwavering commitment to Starfleet's ideals.
