While Xboxfans still lament the lack of a blade-based UI on modern Xbox platforms, Microsoft has been working behind the scenes to add some new features to the platform. You could argue that many of these advancements have made the Xbox less usable and less functional (especially with the addition of ads), but this update is being universally praised.
