The history of legacy sequels is a mixed bag, including when it comes to the horror genre. We've had some incredible legacy sequels across all genres, from Top Gun: Maverick to Mad Max: Fury Road, but there have also been some widely panned ones like Dumb and Dumberer and Son of the Mask.
