The Nintendo Switch 2 got off to a blistering start in spite of an odd lineup of games. First-party notables Donkey Kong Bananza, Mario Kart World, and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond are all among 2025's best Nintendo games, but the usual suspects failed to make an appearance; there's no new Zelda game nor the long-awaited next 3D Super Mario. That outlook could change in 2026 at a Nintendo Direct's notice, but as it currently stands, the coming year's biggest Switch 2 game might unexpectedly come from Capcom.
