9-1-1 continues to move on from Bobby as ABC officially chooses his perfect replacement, and it isn't Chimney. For nearly a year now, the death of Bobby remains a big topic of conversation for the hit procedural. Showrunner Tim Minear chalked the decision to write off such a vital character to the show's commitment to realism, although grounded stories weren't really the show's forte. Regardless, 9-1-1 is sticking to their decision to write out Peter Krause's character as season 9 continues.
