Warning: Some SPOILERS lie ahead for Hamnet!Though a largely straightforward exploration of love and grief, Hamnetsneaks a surprise into its ending that Paul Mescal says isn't as big of a twist as it may seem. Mescal co-leads the cast of the film as William, an artist who falls in love with the forest-loving Agnes and begins building a family with her. They find their happiness suddenly upended by the death of one of their children, which would inspire one of William's most iconic works.
