NCIS: Origins co-creator David J. North jokes that Mark Harmon may disappoint some fans of the franchise for a surprising reason. Harmon recently reprised the role of Leroy Jethro Gibbs for a crossover between NCIS and NCIS: Origins, which marked Gibbs' first substantial return to the long-running CBS procedural since his high-profile departure early on in season 19.
