As soon as you land on The Outer Worlds 2's planet of Eden, you'll have a lot of freedom in the order you tackle objectives. If you're looking to speed through the main story, you can basically beeline to the Vox Relay and take on its challenges with minimal preamble. Aside from some useful XP, many of the optional side quests on the planet don't provide anything critical, and you can always go back to complete most of them later.
