The Godfather Part IIIis often held up as a grade-A example of how not to do a sequel. And while it comes nowhere close to joining the first two movies in cinema's pantheon of undisputed masterpieces, Francis Ford Coppola's 1990 effort is by no means bad. The Godfather Part III could be more accurately described as a decent gangster movie that simply falls below the lofty expectations set by its title.
