Batman's latest sequel playfully pokes fun at one of the aspects of the DC hero's story and lore that is often considered something of a jarring flaw in the hero's mythos. With over 80 years of comic history - and a considerable range of movie, game and show adaptations alongside that - it's no surprise there are some aspects of the Dark Knight's story that have been more criticized historically.
